Multi-Modality Specialist (Full-time, Rotating Shift)

Job Summary
Operate x-ray, computed tomography, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and mammography equipment while performing at least three modalities regularly. Safely transport and transfer patients, prepare contrast agents for procedures, and conduct mobile imaging examinations as needed. Test defibrillators and check crash cart integrity. Maintain current Basic Life Support certification and state Radiologic Tech license. Requires an Associate's Degree in radiologic technology and ARRT certification in radiography or a specific modality. Full-time rotating shift position at Adventist Health Sierra Vista in San Luis Obispo.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in radiologic technology
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Must have a current certification in one of the modalities and able to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality: Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography(M), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Nuclear Medicine (NM), Sonography(S) or Positron Emission Tomography (PET)
- ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R)
- ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) or ARRT-Mammography (ARRT-M) or ARRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MRI) or American Registry for Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or ARRT-Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRT-NMT) or State Nuclear Med Tech (SNMT) or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) or RTPET
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor's)
- Master's Degree
- Three years' technical experience
