Multi-Modality Specialist (Full-time, Rotating Shift)

Job Summary

Perform radiographic, mammographic, computed tomography, and/or ultrasound examinations while safely transporting patients and preparing contrast agents. Operate x-ray, CT, ultrasound, MRI, nuclear medicine, and mammography equipment, executing at least three modalities competently on a rotating schedule. Test defibrillators and check crash cart integrity as part of daily safety protocols. This role supports departmental objectives at Adventist Health Sierra Vista's 162-bed acute care facility in San Luis Obispo, which includes a Level III NICU and trauma center.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in radiologic technology
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
  • Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
  • Current certification in one of the modalities and ability to perform duties in at least one other advanced modality
  • ARRT-Radiography (ARRT-R)
  • ARRT-Computed Tomography (ARRT-CT) or ARRT-Mammography (ARRT-M) or ARRT-Magnetic Resonance Imaging (ARRT-MRI) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) or ARRT-Nuclear Medicine Technology (ARRRT-NMT) or State Nuclear Med Tech (SNMT) or ARRT-Sonography (ARRT-S) or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI-RCS) or RTPET
  • All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Master's Degree
  • Three years' technical experience
