Multi-Modality Breast Imaging Technologist

Job Summary
Perform comprehensive breast imaging procedures, including clinical breast ultrasound and 3D digital mammography, ensuring correct image capture and diagnostic quality. Explain imaging procedures clearly to patients to ensure understanding and cooperation while verifying patient information to prevent errors. Maintain imaging environments and equipment, adhering to sterilization protocols, and evaluate acquired images for technical or anatomical issues. Present images and preliminary findings to physicians and maintain accurate patient records, including medical notes, consents, and billing information. Utilize PACS and EMR systems for image management and complete administrative tasks to ensure timely interpretation and result delivery. Support the manager in maintaining MQSA and ACR requirements and attend required meetings and training sessions. Work 30 hours per week in an OBGYN office setting in Silver Spring, MD.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program
- ARRT Registration R.T.(R) Required
- ARRT Certification in Mammography (M) Required
- State Department of Radiation Control License (if applicable)
- ARDMS Advanced Breast Registry or ARRT Breast Sonography certification (must have or be eligible to obtain within six months of hire)
- Minimum of three years' experience as a Breast Ultrasound Technologist and Mammography Technologist required
- Maintain registry status and continuing education
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Highly organized and detail-oriented
- Proficient in PACS and RIS Systems
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively in English as required by job duties
- Must be able to understand and follow safety instructions provided in English
- Role requires reading and writing in English to complete documentation, reports, and compliance requirements
- Ability to interact with customers, clients, or regulators in English as needed
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
