Multi Media Journalist, Reporter I

Job Summary
Report, shoot, write, and edit compelling news stories for television, digital, streaming, social, and mobile platforms. Pitch new stories daily to identify and develop stories that matter to local audiences. Collaborate with newsroom staff to develop coverage plans, build relationships with sources and community members, and research background information for complete reports. Review copy for errors, ensure content meets journalistic integrity standards, and report live from the field, often ad-libbing during breaking news. Participate in promotional activities, public appearances, and volunteer opportunities. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, fluency in English, experience with broadcast camera and editing software, and a valid driver's license. Flexibility to work any shift.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience
- Fluency in English
- Experience using broadcast camera equipment and editing software
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple assignments and meeting tight deadlines
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Flexibility to work any shift
