Job Summary
Operate multiple types of machines including CNC machining, overhead cranes, torches, forming, drills, mills, punch & shear presses, forklifts, and saws. Follow general and machine-specific work instructions covering start-up, complex set-ups, preventive maintenance, operating, shut down, and lockout tag-out procedures. Use lift trucks, pneumatic hand hoists, manual drills, grinders, tape measures, digital calipers, and other hand tools while maintaining production records and performing SPC and quality check procedures. Perform necessary calibration checks for gauges to ensure items remain within tolerance. Work from production schedules, material issue tickets, prints, set-up diagrams, and parts program lists. Notify supervisor of equipment or material problems. Model right behavior regarding initiative, compliance, moral character, and work ethic to foster teamwork and mutual respect. Promote safety, environmental responsibility, and continuous quality improvement in accordance with company policies.
