Job Summary
Multi-Line Claims Adjuster responsible for handling both property and liability claims across residential and commercial lines. Core duties include conducting field inspections and investigations using Xactimate to determine negligence and damages, collecting recorded statements from insureds, claimants, or witnesses, preparing captioned reports, Statements of Loss, Proofs of Loss, and denial letters, and analyzing coverage forms and endorsements to issue thorough client-facing findings. Requires strong verbal and written communication, time management, and customer service; must have or be able to obtain a state adjuster license and a valid driver’s license; will undergo background checks. Role supports remote work with potential for field/office-based assignments, aligns with Best Practices for clients, and may involve reviewing complex property damage and Bodily Injury-related settlements. Preferred but not required: college degree or professional designations (e.g., AIC). All candidates must pass a full background check.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years first-party commercial and/or residential property and liability adjusting experience
- Maintain own current estimating software; Xactimate preferred
- Working computer; internet access and Microsoft Word required
- Must demonstrate strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability to take recorded statements in the field or with legal representatives
- Experience in preparing Statements of Loss, Proofs of Loss, and denial letters
- State adjuster’s license where required
- Must have valid driver’s license
- Must submit to background check; void in states where prohibited
- All candidates must pass a full background check
- Experience in industry specific areas a plus, but not necessary: fire departments, agricultural, lumber mills, high value or historic buildings or Construction Defects, Automobile Liability, Subrogation Recovery investigations
