Job Summary
Lead instruction and case management for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder using Applied Behavior Analysis strategies. Serve as an IEP Case Manager by writing data-driven goals, monitoring progress, and collaborating with families and general education staff. Supervise a team of paraprofessionals while delivering rigorous, culturally responsive content to three to five classes daily. Monitor student growth through various assessments and advocate for diverse learners on the MTSS Team. Promote a positive school culture and pursue professional development focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion. This immediate start role supports students across DSST's nine center-based programs with a full-time, in-person schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Has both a teaching license and a special education endorsement
- Must be able to lift and/or move items up to 30 pounds
- Must have sufficient hand, arm, and finger dexterity to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment
- Must have close vision
- Must have distance vision
- Must have peripheral vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must have the ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Proven commitment to and experience with serving students of color, students with disabilities, and/or multilingual students
- Experience in teaching and implementing positive behavior supports to facilitate learning in the areas of academic, communication, executive functioning, behavioral, and social-emotional regulation
