Job Summary
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair fuel systems and appliances while delivering fuel in a safe and efficient manner. Maintain the service vehicle by reviewing maintenance records, performing pre- and post-trip inspections, and reporting conditions requiring attention. Provide superior customer service, bill customers for services rendered, and manage funds and inventory using a tablet. Document system testing and related information in trip reports. Operate under a competitive hourly wage range of $24.20 to $30.20, with eligibility for overtime pay based on business needs. This role supports Suburban Propane's mission to serve residential, commercial, and industrial customers across 42 states with reliable propane and renewable energy solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with HAZMAT, tanker, and air brake endorsements
- valid Medical Examiner's Certificate allowing for operation in interstate commerce
- Ability to lift and pull equipment that weighs 50 to 75 lbs
- Exceptional customer service skills
- English Language Proficiency qualification requirements in 49 CFR §391.11(b)(2)
- ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to converse with the general public
- ability to understand highway traffic signs and signals in English
