Job Summary
Diagnose and perform routine maintenance and repair in units and common areas, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance work. Conduct scheduled inspections on building systems and equipment monthly to identify potential issues before they escalate. Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours or weekend calls when on-call availability is required. Prepare vacant units for new residents by cleaning, painting, and repairing to ensure timely turnover. Maintain accurate records of all work performed and communicate effectively with property management, residents, and vendors while adhering to OSHA and building code requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of experience in apartment or facilities maintenance
- Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Must successfully pass background check process
- On-call availability
