Job Summary
Prepare accurate, competitive cost estimates and conduct value engineering for multifamily projects from conceptual design through final construction documents. Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues, manage bid packages, and oversee subcontractor solicitation and award processes. Lead departmental estimating efforts, ensuring timelines, quality, and accuracy while mentoring junior estimators. Identify and pursue new business opportunities through RFPs, proposals, and client interviews. Adhere to safety policies and execute lean work culture standards.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5–7 years of multifamily construction estimating or related experience
- Proven track record of success in preconstruction, estimating, and project management in multifamily residential projects
- Verifiable work references demonstrating strong accomplishments, leadership, and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with estimating software (e.g., Procore, Sage Estimating, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of multifamily construction methods, materials, and costs
- Understanding of budgeting, vendor selection, and proposal development
- Strong customer service orientation with excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and planning skills
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
