Job Summary
Install energy efficient equipment and products according to proper procedures for residential and small commercial markets, including aerators, showerheads, and compact fluorescent lights. Travel daily to pre-scheduled appointments at apartments, condo units, and other qualified building types, occasionally working weekends to accommodate customer needs. Introduce and explain incentive programs to building owners, management companies, small business owners, and trade allies while assisting with blower door and combustion safety tests. Maintain customer specifications and company quality standards by completing required paperwork, conducting inventory counts, and ensuring fleet vehicle safety and cleanliness. Submit inspection and maintenance reports as requested by management.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 – 3 years of experience preferably in basic wiring, lighting, HVAC, troubleshooting and/or other technologies installed in commercial/residential applications
- 1 – 2 years of previous customer service/sales experience
- Mechanical and technical aptitude
- Experience in installing technologies, manual labor and using tools
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Must be able to handle a wide work variety and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be a detail-oriented, organized, self-starter, and have an ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to identify and resolve project application issues with customers and trade allies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook
- Strong data entry skills in entering information in tracking systems/databases
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers, clients and employees
- Ability to analyze and interpret data and solve practical problems
- Knowledge of mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages and ratios
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel up to 95%

- Experience in installing technologies, manual labor and using tools
- Background in one or more of the following: Building science and design, Building envelope, Weatherization or related fields, Building maintenance, Home inspection, HVAC, lighting, controls or renewable energy
