Job Summary
Delivery driver for multi-drop routes in a temperature-controlled pharmaceutical logistics environment. Responsibilities include checking and scanning consignments, completing safety checks on vehicles and refrigeration units, delivering to GP surgeries, pharmacies, wholesalers and hospitals, maintaining driver manifests and electronic delivery records, providing service updates, and upholding professional, safe driving standards while presenting a smart appearance. Requires a minimum of 2 years driving experience, a B-category licence, strong customer service and communication skills, ability to manage priorities, and confidentiality. Role is based in Preston, UK with full-time hours (40 per week) and enhanced bank holiday/weekend pay; benefits include accrued holidays and a company pension. Enhanced DBS disclosure checks are required due to handling medical/prescription deliveries.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 2 years’ driving experience
- Must hold a B category driving licence (ideally no more than 3 points)
- Previous delivery driver experience advantageous
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to build effective working relationships with customers/clients
- Maintaining confidentiality
- Good organisation skills with the ability to prioritise
