Job Summary
Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical issues across highly automated machinery. Duties include electrical/PLC diagnostics (ladder logic across multiple PLC platforms), supporting robotics and automated CNC cells, precision mechanical maintenance (CNC mills, grinders, washers, rails/slides/ball screws), high-precision machine alignment, hydraulic and pneumatic system upkeep, and executing preventive and predictive maintenance. Role requires documentation of work, downtime causes, parts usage, and effective shift handoffs with leads and senior technicians. Training program available to advance PLC and automation skills.
Required Qualifications
- Experience – 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment
- True Multi-Craft Capability – demonstrated ability to handle both mechanical and electrical breakdowns independently
- Strong Electrical / PLC Aptitude – ability to read ladder logic, trace electrical faults, and troubleshoot PLC-driven equipment
- Mechanical Precision – experience with equipment teardowns, rebuilding cylinders, and correcting alignments on rails, slides, and ball screws
- Hydraulics & Pneumatics – confident in troubleshooting and repairing pneumatic cylinders, valves, and fluid power systems
- Troubleshooting mindset – strong diagnostic approach; ability to walk into unfamiliar automation problems, isolate the issue, and execute a safe, effective fix
