Job Summary
Install, repair, maintain, and align production machinery, electrical systems, and facility equipment using hand and power tools. Design, program, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) systems while troubleshooting faults and replacing parts. Complete work orders, preventive maintenance rounds, and carpentry or masonry tasks as assigned. Reorder supplies, clean tools, and ensure all safety protocols, including lock-out/tag-out procedures, are followed. Notify supervisors of irregularities and participate in training sessions for new associates. Operate on a 2nd shift schedule.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing
- Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, service manuals and maintenance records
- Understanding of mechanics, hydraulics, electrical and electronic control systems, pneumatics, HVAC, rubber industry production equipment internal combustion engines, single and three phase electric motors
- Ability to perform basic math (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)
- Ability to read a tape measure
- Strong computer/systems skills - MS Office (Excel/Word/Outlook)
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong cooperation and collaboration skills
- Strong analytical and diagnostic skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- High degree of concentration with attention to detail, high energy, and self-motivation
- Ability to manage demands and deal with frequent changes, delays, or unexpected events through organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coach and train Associates
- Ability to interact well with all personality types
- This position will operate on a 2nd shift schedule
Desired Qualifications
- Associate Degree or Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering
- Successful completion of Competency Assessment
- Familiarity of E-Maintenance
