Job Summary

Conduct daily troubleshooting and repair of manufacturing, support equipment, and automation systems, including auxiliary infrastructure like compressed air, cooling water, and vacuum. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, valves, and solenoids while fabricating machine parts using shop tools. Collaborate with electricians for electrical controls repairs and train team members on safe work practices. Document all equipment changes and operate inspection cameras per quality guidelines. Work 12-hour night shifts in a plastics manufacturing plant, requiring cross-functional mechanical and electrical training.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency
  • Read, write and speak English
  • Complete pre-employment mechanical aptitude test
  • Complete in house CEW (certified electrical worker) training within 1 year of hire date
  • Demonstrated safety-first focus
  • 2+ years of industrial maintenance or similar experience
  • Must have tools required for industrial maintenance, with exception of specialty, power tools, and machine shop tools
  • Self-motivated, accountable, and able to communicate with team members
  • Must be able to work at heights (Passing fall protection and mobile elevated work platform training required)
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work in different positions throughout shift
  • Cross functionally trained in mechanical and electrical areas with 5+ years of industrial maintenance
  • Knowledge of manufacturing equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, and plastic processing equipment
  • Knowledge of utility system components including compressed air systems, cooling water systems, vacuum systems, etc.
  • Knowledge of plant electrical systems, including NFPA 70e qualifications
  • Knowledge of PLC controls/electronics for automation equipment
  • Qualification to use maintenance shop tools to fabricate parts including the use of vertical mill/drill presses, brake/shear, and MIG/TIG welders
  • Vocational education and/or training in machine repair, industrial electricity, or equivalent programs from an accredited school

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior plastics experience desirable, specifically with experience in operation and maintenance of compression molding equipment
