Job Summary
Coordinate and communicate tasks for scheduled and unscheduled electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. Perform regular preventive maintenance orders and work orders on production equipment, facilities, and grounds using lockout/tagout procedures. Dismantle, assemble, install, and test industrial machinery while entering tasks into the SAP work order system. Analyze and resolve work problems, read equipment and hydraulic prints to perform required repairs, and maintain up-to-date files on maintenance performed. Instruct new employees on assigned work methods and verify quality of completed repairs. Work independently and keep supervisors informed of breakdowns and machinery status.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in advanced technical training in electrical, mechanical & hydraulics with 2 years of manufacturing experience
- High school diploma with 5 years of manufacturing experience working with electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, PLC's
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Willingness to work occasional opposite shift, call in and weekends
- Ability to lift 50lbs on a regular basis
- Willingness to wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as steel-toe shoes/boots, ear and eye protection
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds, and with assistance
- Ability to use wrenching, impacting, and/or vibrating tools (manual and automatic) occasionally for extended periods of time
- Ability to work while frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Ability to regularly stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in advanced technical training in electrical, mechanical & hydraulics with 2 years of manufacturing experience preferred
- High school diploma with 5 years of manufacturing experience working with electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, PLC's in lieu of Associates degree
- SAP experience preferred
