Job Summary
Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable plant operations. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, including motor controls, VFDs, AC/DC drives, and sensors. Diagnose equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis, and complete work orders through the CMMS system while responding to breakdowns. Read electrical schematics, interpret pneumatic drawings, and maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities. Work Sunday through Friday from 11:00 PM to 7:30 AM in an industrial environment, with overtime and on-call support as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong hands-on industrial electrical troubleshooting experience
- Experience working with motor controls
- Experience working with VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives)
- Experience working with AC/DC drives
- Experience working with servo motors
- Experience working with sensors, relays, contactors, and electrical control systems
- Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480V
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and pneumatic diagrams
- Experience troubleshooting PLC inputs and outputs
- Mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic troubleshooting experience
- Proficiency using diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, infrared devices, micrometers, calipers, and laptops
- Experience using common shop equipment and power tools
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, email, and CMMS systems
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, stoop, squat, kneel, and climb stairs throughout the shift
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 55 pounds
- Overtime shift coverage and on-call support may be required based on operational needs
- Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable background checks, drug screening, and pre-employment requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in plastics, extrusion, compounding, chemical, or manufacturing environments
- HVAC experience, including process chillers
- Electro-mechanical education, technical training, or certification
- Experience supporting automated production equipment
