Job Summary
Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment and conduct inspections to detect discontinuities using MT, PT, and UTT methods. Establish examination techniques adhering to safety regulations, apply testing criteria per specifications, and interpret radiographs, CRTs, digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators. Organize and report test results, perform specialized inspections, and may instruct or supervise others. This callout/travel position requires up to 90% travel across Augusta GA and surrounding areas including agricultural, petro-chemical, and pharmaceutical sites. Candidates must hold Level II MT/PT/UTT certification with technical NDT background and report writing experience.
Required Qualifications
- Certified Level II MT/PT/UTT
- Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
- Knowledge of NDT equipment
- Experience in report writing
- Must be able to travel up to 90% throughout Augusta GA and surrounding areas
