Job Summary
Provide educational programming through distance learning; work with students individually and in groups; assist with collaboration among teachers, students, families and community to meet education needs; provide case management services; conduct assessments; required MN teaching licensure; experience with at-risk youth; ability to work with diverse groups; knowledge of social education procedures. This is a 1.0 FTE Special Education teaching role at Kennedy High School in Bloomington, MN, within Bloomington Public Schools, with duties centered on delivering educational programming, collaboration, and student assessment.
Required Qualifications
- Current MN Teaching Licensure: SLD / EBD / ABS or ASD licensure preferred
- Experience with at-risk school age youth
- Ability to work successfully with students and adults of various economic, racial, and cultural backgrounds
- Knowledge of social education procedures
- Experience in providing educational programming through distance learning
- Work with student individually and in groups
