Job Summary
The Director of MTSS serves as the schoolwide instructional leader responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring Georgia Connections Academy’s Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) for students in grades K–12. This role requires collaboration with principals, instructional leaders, and special education staff to identify student needs early, provide targeted interventions, and monitor progress. Key responsibilities include analyzing student performance data, ensuring quality interventions, and leading professional development on MTSS. Candidates must have a Master's Degree in Education and valid leadership certification, with essential experience in MTSS or related student support systems.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Education
- Valid Georgia Tier I Leadership and Clearance certification, or the ability to obtain appropriate certification in a designated timeframe
- Experience leading or supporting MTSS, RTI, intervention programs, or student support systems
- Strong understanding of literacy, math, and behavioral/social-emotional interventions
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and apply data to drive instructional and intervention decisions
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with administrators, teachers, counselors, and support staff
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Desired Qualifications
- Experience serving in a district- or school-level MTSS leadership role
- Experience supporting MTSS implementation in a virtual or blended learning environment
- Experience leading professional development related to data-driven instruction and interventions
