Job Summary
Process specimens, perform waived, moderate, and high-complexity tests, and report results according to established procedures. Participate fully in quality control procedures and comply with quality assurance standards under JCAHO, CAP, CLIA, and other applicable agencies. Perform specimen collection as necessary when authorized by the Director. This role operates on a rotating shift schedule including midnights, weekends, and holidays. The position requires an Associate or Bachelor's degree in laboratory science or related fields, along with at least one year of clinical laboratory experience.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
- Bachelor degree in medical laboratory science/medical technology from an accredited college or university
- Bachelor degree in chemical, physical or biological sciences
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1 year of pertinent full-time clinical laboratory experience or training
