Job Summary
The Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) independently performs laboratory testing, interprets and validates results, ensuring accuracy in accordance with established procedures and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include performing laboratory testing procedures, ensuring accurate specimen identification and result reporting, conducting quality control, and troubleshooting laboratory equipment issues. Candidates must have an Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related science and MLT Certification. Strong problem-solving, technical, and communication skills are essential, and previous laboratory experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related science required
- MLT Certification (ASCP, AMT, or equivalent) required or eligible
