Job Summary
MSW Field Education Coordinator responsibilities include recruiting, developing, approving and maintaining field placements; supervise and evaluation field education students and agency supervisors; provide training to field education faculty, agency supervisors and staff for effective field education development; implement field education policies and procedures and maintain accurate data collection in accordance with CSWE standards; in addition to Field Education Coordinator administrative responsibilities, teach field related courses and engage in service to the Department, College, University and profession; candidate must have demonstrated expertise in field of social work practice at the individual, family, group, organization and/or community level with areas of specialty including direct client general practice, administration and policy, and social welfare research and/or program evaluation; strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students and community partners; requires MSW from CSWE-accredited program and two years post-graduate practice experience; employment is contingent upon a background check.
Required Qualifications
- MSW degree from a CSWE-accredited program
- two years post-graduate practice experience
- ability to teach field-related courses at the undergraduate level
- demonstrated expertise in field of social work practice (individual, family, group, organization and/or community)
- strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, students and community partners
- willingness to supervise and evaluate field education students and agency supervisors
