Job Summary
Provide excellent member service by answering questions, resolving disputes, and cross-selling appropriate Credit Union products. Process deposits, withdrawals, wire transfers, and loan payments while maintaining cash drawer accuracy and balancing transactions. Open auxiliary accounts, issue checks and gift cards, and assist members with online banking technology and mobile devices. Respond promptly to voice mail, text, and email messages while ensuring branch security and adhering to opening and closing procedures. Work a regular and predictable schedule to maintain professional relationships with members, co-workers, and management.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Knowledge of Credit Union account and loan services, policies, and procedures
- Understanding of related legal and regulatory standards and required documentation
- Knowledge of consumer banking practices
- 1-3 years of similar or related experience
- Excellent member service, communication, and public relations skills
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Strong analytical and financial skills
- Ability to operate related computer applications, and other business equipment including computer, printer, telephone, calculator, and notary stamp, if applicable
- Good typing skills
- Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization
- Ability to interpret various instructions
- Ability to perform very simple algebra
- Ability to read a variety of books, magazines, instruction manuals, atlases, and encyclopedias
- Ability to prepare memos, reports, and essays using proper punctuation, spelling and grammar
- Ability to communicate distinctly with appropriate pauses and emphasis
- Correct punctuation (or sign equivalent)
- Variation in word order
- Using present, perfect, and future tenses
- Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information
- Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery
- Sedentary work; sitting most of the time
- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally
- Works a regular and predictable schedule
