Job Summary
MSP Level 3 Technician responsible for delivering advanced IT support to SMB clients. Focus on troubleshooting complex issues across servers, networks, and applications; designing and managing robust network solutions; performing system administration, patching, backups, and monitoring; leading IT projects (migrations, deployments); maintaining thorough documentation; mentoring Level 1–2 staff; ensuring regulatory and cybersecurity compliance; and providing on-call after-hours support. Requires strong problem-solving, excellent customer-facing communication, and ability to adapt in a fast-paced MSP environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in IT support, including 2 years in a Level 3 or senior technician role
- MSP experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Azure Administrator, CCNA a plus
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux server environments; virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V); cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Strong networking and security knowledge; experience with firewalls, VPNs, and cybersecurity best practices
- Experience with RMM tools (NinjaRMM) and ticketing systems (Autotask PSA, ServiceNow, Zendesk)
- Documentation tools (Hudu, IT Glue, SharePoint)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to manage IT projects from inception to completion
- Willingness for after-hours support and occasional travel
- Ability to work onsite and remotely depending on client needs
