Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled MSP Level 3 Technician to provide advanced IT support for servers, networks, and software across SMB client environments. Responsibilities include designing and managing network solutions, performing system administration (patching, backups, monitoring), maintaining client relationships, leading IT projects (migrations, deployments), creating comprehensive documentation, mentoring Level 1-2 technicians, ensuring regulatory and cybersecurity compliance, and providing after-hours/on-call support. Strong expertise in Windows/Linux servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), network security, RMM and ticketing tools (NinjaRMM, Autotask/ServiceNow/Zendesk), and documentation platforms (IT Glue, Hudu, SharePoint) is required. Excellent communication, customer service, and collaborative teamwork are essential, with flexibility for onsite/remote work and occasional client-site travel.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years in IT support, including 2 years in a Level 3 or senior technician role
- MSP experience preferred
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred
- Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Security+, Microsoft Azure Administrator, or CCNA as a plus
- Proficiency in Windows and Linux server environments, virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)
- Strong networking and security knowledge; experience with monitoring and RMM/ticketing tools
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work onsite and remotely with flexibility for after-hours/weekend support
- Travel to client locations may be required
- Experience leading IT projects and mentoring junior technicians
- Documentation and process-standardization experience
- Regulatory compliance awareness (data privacy, cybersecurity)
- Structured IT documentation tools proficiency (IT Glue, Hudu, SharePoint)
- Problem-solving and project-management capabilities
- Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical clients
