Job Summary
Plan, develop, and implement engaging learning opportunities for MSN graduate students while teaching classes in online, traditional, and hybrid formats. Model high standards of professional behavior and provide academic guidance to students. Create and maintain course materials compliant with regulatory parties, measure student outcomes, and serve on minimum two nursing committees or university councils. Represent the School of Nursing on appropriate university committees as needed. Take accountability for an annual personal professional development plan. This role requires a Doctorate in Nursing Practice or PhD, an active unencumbered Kentucky nursing license, and Family Nurse Practitioner Certification. Candidates must have five years of clinical experience and two years of teaching experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- A Doctorate in Nursing Practice or PhD in Nursing or equivalent doctorate (EdD etc)
- Active unencumbered nursing license recognized in Kentucky
- Family Nurse Practitioner Certification
- 5 years of clinical nursing experience
- Must be able to work with, listen to, appreciate, and collaborate and lead with diverse populations
Desired Qualifications
- 2 years of teaching experience
- Demonstrated excellence in interpersonal communication
- Demonstrated ability to work/lead in a team environment
