Job Summary
MSMA Career Fundamentals Adjunct Instructor at Helms College in Augusta, GA. Delivers instruction for Medical Assisting curriculum, maintains hands-on clinical lab environments, provides feedback and guidance to students, participates in campus events, and maintains attendance, grading, and records. Requires certification or eligibility within 90 days, three years of recent medical facility experience, and morning or evening availability 2–3 nights per week. Preferred qualifications include an Associate’s degree or higher in a healthcare-related field, medical office experience, and teaching experience. Duties align with accreditation standards, industry expectations, and student readiness for industry certification and job placement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program, having earned a certificate, diploma, or degree
- Three (3) years of recent experience in a medical facility
- Must be certified or registered (CMA, RMA, LPN, RN, or CCMA), or able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
- Availability to work Morning (8:30 - 3:00pm) for our Morning Classes and/or afternoon/evening hours (5:00 PM – 10:30 PM) for our Evening Classes two to three nights per week.
