Job Summary
Mt Spokane High School Wildcat Volleyball JV Head Coach responsible for instruction of techniques, safety practices, and rules; develop and organize practice programs with daily 3:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. sessions; supervise student-athletes from practice through travel; promote the interscholastic program and maintain high standards of conduct; ensure completion of required documentation and medical screenings; communicate with parents and adhere to district policies and athletic guidelines; hold up-to-date First Aid/CPR certifications and, ideally, a Type II driver’s license; assist with selection and evaluation of staff, schedule practices/competitions, and uphold WIAA rules and district safety procedures; annual salary contract range $3,947–$6,868 with standard district benefits and sick-leave provisions.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 21 or older for Head Coach
- Current First Aid/CPR certification or ability to acquire by start of season
- Type II Driver’s License, preferred
- Understand the activity/sport, safety practices, techniques, rules, and progression of skill development
- Be able to plan practices and events, organize materials and personnel
- Ability to work with students, colleagues, parents, and officials professionally and equitably
- Demonstrate positive attitude toward students and motivate program development
- Ability to meet schedule responsibilities for practice, coaching preparation, competition, and related activities
