Job Summary
Perform mechanical maintenance, repairs, and installations during outage operations, troubleshooting industrial equipment including conveyors, crushers, screens, motors, hydraulics, and gearboxes. Follow all MSHA safety standards, site-specific rules, and lockout/tagout procedures while collaborating with mechanics, electricians, and supervisors to meet tight downtime schedules. Identify and report unsafe conditions or equipment issues immediately. Commit to 12-hour shifts over a 25-day project in Kern County, CA, working 6–7 days per week.
Required Qualifications
- Current MSHA training (Part 48 preferred)
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting experience in industrial, mining, or aggregate environments
- Hands-on experience working with conveyors, crushers, screens, motors, hydraulics, and gearboxes
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts and commit to the full 25-day project
- Willingness to work 6–7 days per week as required
- Reliable transportation to job site(s) in Kern County
- Ability to work in physically demanding environments (standing, lifting, climbing, exposure to dust/noise)
Desired Qualifications
