Job Summary

Investment Officer for Morgan Stanley Family Office (MSFO) to build and manage client portfolios for Single Family Office clients, overseeing asset allocation and manager selection, risk management, and capital markets transactions from structured products to hedging; engage with clients for discovery, draft investment policy statements, and provide quarterly reporting; ensure administrative and operational activities with outside custodians and trading, collaborate with internal advisors and research teams, and prepare portfolio allocation and performance reports for investment committee presentations.

Required Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree is required
  • Graduate degree is preferred
  • CFA, CAIA and other professional designations are preferred
  • FINRA licenses (Series 7 and 66 or 63 and 65) required or willing to obtain within 120 days
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills (Microsoft Office)
  • 5-10 years of investment-related experience servicing UHNW individuals/families in wealth management or investment consulting
  • Experience with alternative investments and structured products
  • Knowledge of portfolio management concepts including asset allocation, manager selection, risk management and performance attribution
