Job Summary
MSc Student Internship in System Development for In Vitro Diagnostic (IVD) system development in Manchester. The role is lab-based, performing functional tests of instrumentation, plastics, software and chemistry, and supporting life-cycle management post-launch. You will draft and review study worksheets/protocols, assist with compliance tasks and lab housekeeping, and gain understanding of ISO 13485 compliant development and IVD system troubleshooting. Hybrid work options are available; the role is intended for an MSc student starting Autumn 2026 and requires availability to work at least 15 hours per week. Routines include hands-on laboratory work and learning new technologies under a multidisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- BSc degree-level qualification in a Life Science subject
- Enrolled on an MSc course with availability to work at least 15 hours per week
- Hands-on experience in basic laboratory techniques: dilutions, DNA/RNA quantification, use of pipettes
