Job Summary
Temporary on-call Mail Service Courier for Canada Post in Ottawa. Drive a corporate vehicle to pick up, load/unload, collect, sort and deliver mail, and perform safety checks. Maintain records and communicate with customers while shuttling corporate delivery vehicles for pre-loading. Must hold Class 3/D license with air brake endorsements, have a safe driving record, and be able to lift up to 50 lb; on-call availability with potential for permanent employment.
Required Qualifications
- A valid Class 3/D driver’s license (or higher) with the appropriate provincial air brake endorsements
- A safe driving record for at least 3 years (recent driver’s abstract or a commercial driver’s abstract dated within the last 30 days)
- The physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb)
- The availability to work on short notice
