MS/TELE Respiratory 7N - Travel Registered Nurse

Job Summary
Manage acute and chronic respiratory conditions including pneumonia, COPD, and GI issues, diabetes, and surgical patients while participating in daily interdisciplinary rounds. Maintain patient-to-nurse ratios of 1:6 on the medical respiratory unit and 1:4 in the step-down unit. This 12-hour night shift runs from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, with flexible contract hours of 36 or 48 weeks per week, plus holidays and every other weekend. Candidates must hold an Alabama or compact license, possess 18 months of experience with recent specialty work, and complete a Cardiac Exam during onboarding. A driver's license is required, and references must be provided from within the last 12 months.
Required Qualifications
- 18 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months
- 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 9 months worked in the last 12 months
- 12 months of acute care experience
- Alabama license or compact license
- 2 years experience
- 1 year of recent experience in the field of specialty
- No temporary licenses accepted
- Associated degree in nursing
- Driver's license
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- Must be able to float to additional units and locations
- Local & travel allowed
- 6 months gap required between for Staff at Program: HealthTrust Program - DCH Health System
- 6 months gap required between for Per Diem at Program: HealthTrust Program - DCH Health System
- No current placement allowed at Program: HealthTrust Program - DCH Health System
- Must complete a Cardiac Exam during onboarding
- Must achieve a minimum score of 80% on Cardiac Exam
- ICU and ED RNs will be required to take an on-site test in addition to the online pre-test
- 2 references required from within the last 12 months
