Job Summary
Provide substitute instruction, implement lesson plans, and supervise Middle School students during teacher absences. Coordinate daily substitute coverage and communicate with faculty, staff, and administrators regarding classroom needs. Support strength, conditioning, and sports-performance programming for student-athletes in grades 6–12 by assisting with warm-ups, training sessions, and equipment setup. Maintain a safe, inclusive training environment and manage the Ellis Fitness Center readiness. Participate in planning meetings, support designated athletic competitions including home varsity football games, and model sportsmanship. Work before, during, and after the academic day with flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends. Drive a Westminster vehicle as required and hold current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification.
Required Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree
- Certification in CPR, AED, and First Aid
- The ability to lift or move up to 75 pounds
- Close vision
- Distance vision

- Peripheral vision
- Depth perception
- The ability to adjust focus
- Willingness to pursue the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) credential
- Must be present for home varsity football games
- Must be able to lift light to moderate equipment related to athletics or classroom materials

Desired Qualifications
- A degree in education or a related field
- Direct classroom experience
- Prior experience working with students in an academic or athletic setting
- Experience coaching student-athletes and supporting athletic programs
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with students, faculty, staff, and parents
- Demonstrated ability to build positive relationships with Middle School students while maintaining appropriate classroom management and behavioral expectations
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Commitment to supporting Westminster's mission and values, with a dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive community
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a growth mindset
