Job Summary
Support and enhance the statewide Child Support System by maintaining Natural and ADABAS processes, integrating with external platforms, and automating current workflows. Provide subject matter expertise on system architectures and interpret federal and state mandates within Linux environments like METSS. Develop documentation, train end users, and recommend system enhancements while managing multiple projects using SCRUM and Jira. Perform on-call support and troubleshoot technical issues independently or within the team. This role requires 10+ years of Natural/ADABAS experience and 2+ years in large-scale Linux development.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ Years of Programming experience in Natural, and the utilization of ADABAS.
- Experience running Natural processes in batch via JCL and/or SCL, and online
- 2+ Years of Experience in the analysis, design, and programming of large or complex development projects on large-scale Linux systems.
- 4+ Years of Experience with automated child support systems
- 3+ Years of Ability to provide subject matter expertise on system architectures
- Ability to provide recommendations regarding enhancements to the systems and processes
- Experience developing, maintaining, and updating documentation for procedures, policies, and processes
- Experience training end users on software
- Knowledge of child support policies and procedures, and current state and federal mandates as implemented or similar to those in METSS, the Mississippi statewide child support system
- Experience interpreting, designing and implementing federal and state mandates in Linux systems such as METSS
- Ability to effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.
- Strong oral and written communication, and time management skills.
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- On-call support is required
- Ability to work independently but effectively with a team to accomplish team projects and solve technical problems.
- Ability to conceive and/or develop creative solutions and possess strong problem-solving skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with SCRUM /Iteration methodologies.
- Experience with Jira Software.
- Ability to work on many projects at one time.
- Experience converting out dated technologies to new cutting-edge technologies.
