Job Summary
MS/HS Math Teacher position focusing on secondary math instruction with small class sizes, employing Michigan standards, differentiated instruction, and active-learning strategies. Responsibilities include planning and delivering lesson plans, using technology to support instruction, monitoring and adjusting instruction based on student progress, supporting students who are behind, collaborating with teachers to improve learning, communicating with students and parents, establishing clear learning objectives, managing classroom behavior, and using formative, summative, and interim assessments to inform instruction. Required to hold a Michigan teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements, a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred), and a minimum of 3 years teaching experience; highly qualified per No Child Left Behind. Required Qualifications
- A valid State of Michigan Teaching Certificate with the appropriate endorsement(s) for the subject area(s) being taught.
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years teaching.
- Must have evidence of meeting highly qualified requirements, as defined by No Child Left Behind.
