MS Fabric Solution Architect

Job Summary
Architect and lead end-to-end Microsoft Fabric solutions for Hiscox, defining architecture for ingestion, transformation, storage, analytics, and consumption; design Lakehouse and data warehouse models for insurance data; establish data ingestion pipelines using Data Factory and Dataflows Gen2; develop semantic models and Power BI datasets; guide delivery teams on Fabric components, Delta Lake, OneLake, KQL, Notebooks, and CI/CD/DevOps; ensure alignment with enterprise security and governance; collaborate with business stakeholders and regulatory reporting teams, and drive Fabric adoption strategy and modernization with reusable frameworks.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years in data architecture
- 3+ years in Azure analytics
- Deep hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric across: Data Engineering (Lakehouse, Notebooks, Pipelines), Data Factory (Dataflows Gen2, Pipelines), Data Warehouse (SQL Endpoint, Direct Lake), Real Time Analytics (KQL DB, Eventstream), Power BI (semantic models, DAX, governance), OneLake & Delta Lake
- Strong understanding of Azure services: ADLS, ADF, Synapse, Databricks, Event Hub, Functions, Key Vault
- Expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT, medallion architecture, and distributed systems
- Experience in insurance data (preferred: P&C, Lloyd’s market)
- Familiarity with underwriting, claims, pricing, actuarial, and regulatory reporting data
- Soft skills: strong communication, stakeholder management, cross-functional leadership
- Willingness to collaborate with enterprise architects, security teams, and data governance leads
- Nice-to-have: IFRS 17, Solvency II, Lloyd’s regulatory reporting
- Certifications: Microsoft Fabric Analytics Engineer; Azure Data Engineer Associate; Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Engagement model: Hybrid/Remote with potential onsite visits to Delhi/NCR
- Location: Hybrid/Remote with potential onsite visits to NTT offices (Delhi/NCR)
- Reporting: Works with Hiscox Data Platform Lead, Enterprise Architecture, and Business Data Owners
