Job Summary
Provide a comprehensive developmental guidance and counseling program at the assigned campus, guiding students to develop academic, career, personal, and social abilities and addressing needs of special populations. Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, parents, and the community to plan, implement, and evaluate the campus guidance program; teach the campus developmental guidance curriculum; counsel individuals and groups; consult with parents, teachers, administrators, and community resources; interpret tests and appraisal results; maintain confidential records; supervise counseling aides and maintain alignment with district guidance plans and district policies. Required skills include knowledge of counseling procedures, student appraisal, and career development; strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal abilities; behavior management; and commitment to professional development and ethical standards.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in guidance counseling
- Valid Texas counseling certificate
- Three years teaching experience
