Job Summary
Instruct grades 6-7 students in a language immersion classroom, keeping learners at the center of decision-making and practice. Cultivate positive partnerships with parents through consistent, transparent communication about their child's progress while collaborating with colleagues to support endeavors benefiting the larger community. Participate in other assigned duties determined by the Head of the Middle School. This part-time, exempt role begins August 13, 2026, for ten months.
Required Qualifications
- Fluency in oral and written Chinese
- Experience teaching Chinese
- Bachelor's degree in Chinese
- Bachelor's degree in another modern language of a native speaker
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Chinese
- Master's degree in a related field
- Prior school experience as a Chinese teacher
- Middle school experience
- A demonstrated commitment to a high level of language proficiency
- Ability to work as a team with the World Language faculty
