MRO Safety Investigator / Trainer

Job Summary
Conduct safety investigations, assessments, and root cause analysis while maintaining hazard registers, JSAs, and workplace safety records. Support audit responses and corrective action tracking, and coordinate toolbox meetings and safety awareness activities. Deliver induction, recurrent, and specialized operational training to promote compliance with aviation safety systems and MRO regulations. Liaise closely with Safety & Quality teams and operational departments to foster a strong safety culture across engineering and maintenance operations. Requires 3–5 years' experience in safety, training, or compliance roles with strong administration skills. Located in Port Moresby, this position supports Cakum Global's aviation client.
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years' experience in a similar safety, training, or compliance role
- Strong understanding of workplace safety, investigations, and HSE practices
- Experience delivering training within operational or technical environments
- Strong administration and reporting capability
- High computer literacy, particularly in MS Office
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently under pressure
