Job Summary
MRI Technologist I/II is responsible for performing magnetic resonance imaging procedures in a clinical setting with emphasis on patient identification, safety, and image quality. Responsibilities include selecting and applying imaging protocols, ensuring ALARA principles, preparing and administering medications as prescribed by a licensed practitioner, evaluating images for adequate positioning and technical quality, documenting activities and imaging data, educating students and other health care providers, and assisting licensed practitioners with MRI procedures. The role requires MR safety knowledge, participation in MRI safety processes, and adherence to institutional policies. The position is typically clinical and oriented toward patient care, with opportunities for advancement to higher levels based on skills and experience. Education and certifications required include nursing/education of radiologic technology programs and ARRT/NMTCB/ARMRIT certifications as applicable, plus BLS.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required)
- ARRT, NMTCB, ARMRIT certification(s) or eligibility
- Basic Life Support Certification - Default Issuing Body
- Certified MRI Technologist - ARMRIT / NMTCB / ARRT MR
- Radiography (R) - ARRT
- Education: Graduate from Specialty Training Program-Radiologic Technology (Required)
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year-Related work experience (Preferred)
