MRI Technologist

Job Summary
Perform complex MRI exams using varying strength magnets and radiofrequency waves; adapt to changes in technology and imaging techniques while ensuring safe and effective imaging practices for patients with and without medical implants (e.g., pacemakers, nerve stimulation devices, electronic pumps); enforce MRI safety and apply knowledge of MRI physics and biology; demonstrate compassion and provide mechanisms to help patients overcome claustrophobia; operate under the general supervision of the Radiologist and the MRI Supervisor; candidate may be required to obtain an ARRT MRI certification within 2 years if already holding an ARRT license in another MRI area.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from school of Radiologic Technology approved by CAHEA/JRCT
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), ARMRIT, or NMTCB; ARRT MRI Certification preferred
- Two years of Radiology imaging experience, cross sectional imaging and/or computer assisted imaging preferred
