Job Summary
Perform MRI procedures under the direction of a radiologist and the MRI manager, rendering prescribed MRI procedures with independent judgment and initiative. May be assigned duties as an interim supervisor or instructor. Requires graduation from an accredited radiology education program and ARRT MR designation (or MRI eligibility within six months of hire). Full-time role with AM/PM shifts at UAB Medicine’s MRI service, part of a Level I trauma center, utilizing the latest equipment and procedures; no call for most positions and no mandatory overtime in many roles; opportunity to work within a leading radiology team and contribute to advanced medical imaging and patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Radiology educational program accredited by a mechanism acceptable to the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) required.
- Currently or within six (6) months from date of hire for MRI eligible candidates; must be registered as a Registered Technologist with Magnetic Resonance Imaging Designation (R.T.(MR)(ARRT)) by ARRT
