Job Summary

Perform MRI procedures in close proximity to superconducting magnets on designated body portions for physician diagnosis and treatment. Inform and prepare patients for scans by researching implanted devices, while maintaining patient files with internal and external films. Prepare, clean, and stock work areas with supplies, and coordinate equipment maintenance and repair. Maintain precautions for excessive radiofrequency exposure and may administer IV contrast as needed. Work part-time (0.2 FTE, 8 hours/week) between 12:00 PM and 8:00 PM at Burnsville or Edina locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduate of an ARRT or ARMRIT approved program
  • ARRT Certification Magnetic Resonance, ARMRIT Certified, or a minimum of 1 year of full time experience in an MRI department
  • Ability to work independently at least 90% of the time
  • Ability to comply with company policies, procedures, practices, and business ethics guidelines
  • Ability to comply with all applicable laws and regulations, (e.g. HIPAA, Stark, OSHA, employment laws, etc.)
  • Ability to demonstrate prompt and reliable attendance
  • Ability to work at an efficient and productive pace, handle interruptions appropriately, and meet deadlines. Prioritize workload effectively
  • Ability to communicate respectfully and professionally in face-to-face, phone and email interactions
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define problems, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
  • Ability to frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to frequently push/pull patients up to 50 pounds, or patients in wheelchairs weighing up to 300 pounds
  • Ability to frequently stand, walk, bend, and move continuously throughout the shift
  • Visual acuity to read electronic and paper documents
  • Auditory ability to participate in phone or video calls clearly
  • Manual dexterity to operate standard office equipment (e.g., computer, phone, printer)
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be available to work either one full shift or two half-day shifts between the hours of 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs
