Job Summary
MRI Technologist Traveler position at UCHealth Memorial Hospital Central (Colorado Springs) delivering top-of-scope imaging and direct patient care across radiologic procedures. Responsibilities include reviewing patient history, initiating Radiographic images per physician orders, and educating patients; safely administering contrast media or imaging medications while monitoring patient condition; assessing changes and reporting appropriately. The role supports precepting newer staff to demonstrate imaging proficiency, and contributes to safety, quality, and continuous learning in a fast-paced clinical environment. The department emphasizes multidisciplinary collaboration, image quality control, and equipment functionality in alignment with established radiology best practices. Travel-friendly, 13-week assignments with a travel package/stipend are available, and local traveler options within 75 miles exist. Applicants should be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program, RT registered or registry-eligible for MRI with ARRT, have at least one year of experience, state licensure if required, and BLS/CPR credential valid through start date.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Registered as a Technologist (RT) and registered in magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) or registry eligible with completing of registry within 12 months by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT Radiography)
- One year of experience
- Registered as a Radiologic Technologist (R) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (R). Specialty ARRT certification(s) if required for position
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.
