Job Summary
Review patient history and physician orders, educate patients on procedures and equipment, and position them for imaging. Administer contrast media or medications when ordered, monitor patient status continuously, and report changes as appropriate. Select exposure factors and imaging parameters, analyze results to identify quality issues, and implement safety standards. Perform quality control procedures on equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and precept new imaging staff. Provide top-of-scope direct patient care in a multidisciplinary, fast-paced clinical environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist program or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program
- One year of experience
- Registered as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS), Vascular Technologist (RVT), or Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or certified in Sonography (S) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State licensure if required by law
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Available for weekend nights
- Full Time, 72.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
- 13 week assignments available
