Job Summary
Perform complete and diagnostic Magnetic Resonance imaging studies of pediatric patients for radiologist interpretation. Produce and evaluate images according to defined protocols to assist with timely interpretation of imaging exams and treatment plans. Adhere to radiology policies regarding patient safety, maintain required education levels for clinical and family care, and protect Magnetic Resonance Zone safety by screening patients for contraindications. Support anesthesia staff in preparing and monitoring sedated patients in the MRI environment. Requires 3 years of MRI experience in neuro, body, musculoskeletal, and vascular areas, plus IV contrast administration skills. Schedule includes Mon-Fri day shift (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) with potential weekend on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Satisfactory completion of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology program
- 3 years' MRI experience required in neuro, body, musculoskeletal and vascular areas
- A.R.R.T. (R) (MR)
- Florida Radiography License
- Current Basic Life Support, AHA
- Strong computer skills in multiple databases for the acquisition and manipulation of image data, utilizing 3d, neuro-functional post-processing workstations, PACS and electronic charting
- MRI contrast administration with IV skills
- Must be available for weekends (on-call rotation may include weekends)
