Job Summary
Perform MRI procedures under radiologist direction with independent judgment, positioning patients and applying prescribed imaging for diagnosis. Ensure patient safety by shielding from electric shock, burns, and radiation, while assessing pain levels and contacting physicians for intervention. Execute quality control checks, maintain accurate logs, and dispose of biomedical waste per CDC and OSHA guidelines. Operate equipment strictly according to manufacturer instructions and complete annual educational requirements. Takes monthly call rotation after regular hours. Requires current NYS Radiologic Technology license and two years experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Current NYS Radiologic Technology license/registration, including permit for injections
- Registered or eligible by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Graduate of an approved school for Radiologic Technology
- Must possess strong communications skills
- good understanding of verbal and written instruction

- Two years experience
