Job Summary
Operate an MRI scanner to obtain diagnostic images by preparing and positioning patients, selecting technical parameters, and administering contrast media within regulatory scope. Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, education, and data entry while ensuring high-quality image submission to PACS with correct markers and history. Maintain equipment functionality, report malfunctions, and keep the department clean and orderly. Work in a constant state of alertness, lifting patients and objects up to 50 lbs, with frequent use of vision, hearing, and speech. Requires BLS HCP and ARRT-MR or ARMRIT certification. Day shift PRN role at MO-SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a MRI or Radiology Technology program
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
- ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologist (ARMRIT) - American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)
